Playing It Forward has partnered with JTAA Soccer to begin a “Passback” program for soccer equipment to support children in need who wish to play.  This Saturday, September 19, there will be drop-off donation boxes at both Lighthouse Park and Jupiter Community Park by the concession stands.  New equipment is always welcome as well as gently used soccer cleats, shin-guards, balls and uniforms.

The JTAA was founded to provide to the community an opportunity for children of Jupiter (FL) residents to engage in sponsored sport activities in the spirit of good competition.

Today, Playing It Forward provided the MATCH Charter School equipment to support their initiative to enhance their extracurricular activity program for their students.  MATCH is a Boston based Charter High School and Middle School that creates a culture of commitment and hard work while also reaching the home of every student.  They aim to  help their students achieve success throughout Middle School, High School, in college and beyond.

On July 22, Playing It Forward and the Bulldog Soccer Academy will begin collecting soccer equipment at the soccer academy’s camp held at Dean College, in Franklin, MA.  We will be collecting new and used uniforms, training gear, cleats, shin guards, socks, soccer balls, and more to support a passback program to help disadvantaged youth domestically and abroad.  Drop-off bins will be located at the soccer academy.

This is the inaugural summer for the Bulldog Soccer Academy that will train boys and girls heading into the grades of 8-12.  For more information about the Bulldog Soccer Academy, please visit: www.hopkinstraining.com.

PIF has provided a substantial amount of soccer related items to support girls in Haiti.  Girls in this program must participate in an HIV awareness seminar in order to be able to participate in an organized soccer program.
